I am american and I have a british girlfriend. We are currently in thailand but looking to come to Perth to get a 6 month METV from the thai consulate there.

We CAN meet the proof of funds by using our bank accounts (the equivalent of AUD$9,000) and we have proof of onward travel as specified on your website.

Are we still able to get the 6 month METV from your consulate for AUD$300

Where can I get a METV closer than my home country USA?I heard Perth Australia, but are there other locations? What are the requirements?

Does any non-aussies have any experience pulling METV from Australia: Perth, Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane. Specifically, I know that Melbourne will accept available credit (eg credit cards) as form a proof of $A8000. Will any of the others? Can anybody attest to user friendliness?

Besides Vientiane, what are some other good cities to to get a Non-immigrant B visa?
