He is fine under amnesty until 31st October.

If he wants to prolong it until 30 Nov (30 Dec in changmai/huahin) he needs to provide embassy letter or reason to stay. So far that's the deal, might change cuz it's Thailand.

couldn’t advice you on that. The only thing I can tell: last and this time my friend used an address of hostel where he stay in temporary. Which is true but just few nights.
