One of the applicants from the same school was refused the extention because she didn’t bring the original bank saving book, only a copy. This paper is not from Immigration but still....
You didn’t mention seasoning for extention based on ED visa. We were told that first time we extend, the money had to stay in the thai bank account 1 month, and next year they have to stay 3 months. Thanks for your advice in this group, Tod, always very clear.
I got my 1 year Non-B in Penang in July ‘18. I applied a Monday morning. I arrived about 7 AM and were among the first 5 in the line. When they opened, they checked my paperwork and we got into the building. About 9 o’clock I was out again. Came back next day and collected my passport after 2 PM; took 10 minutes.
He might need to get re-entry permit. Can be purchased at Immigration. If he plans to go abroad again during the year his visa works, he can as well buy multiple re-entry permit.
Not sure where in Thailand you are but here in Chiang Mai it is at the newly opened immigration office they sell them. Between Airport Plaza mall and Airport entrance.
Make sure you don’t apply or collect at a Thai National holiday. Closed days are shown on the Embassy website, but not yet 2019. Mid January should be fine.
