I read the max was one on their website like yesterday.... or have bad reading comprehension and misread heh

And by the way they never asked me for it in Bangkok, this was two weeks back.

"you keep your passport; they only put a stamp in the passport telling you to return." - key point, thank you. I thought they keep it like other countries when I got a visa.

I'm hoping there is a photo shop near there that opens early? I haven't spotted a place in central Bangkok (Asok / Nana) yet

Well my point is that I would only check into my main hotel once for the whole trip, even though I may stay other places on weekends.

So if you get a hotel a month at a time, but occasionally don't spend the night there, every time you come back you should ask them to file a TM30 again right? Can you do your own if they refuse, I imagine they're going to get sick of it.

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah it won't work for me because I'll get 45 days until the end of May, and as I understand, am required to get a 30 day extension before I can ask for the 60 days Covid.

Get the 30 day extension once in Thailand. Then cross your fingers they extend the covid19 60 days extension program yet again (for the zillionth time). That's what I'm doing. Way easier than a TR or STV nonsense and probably will get to stay as long with good luck.

I just searched google news and latest article on Bali in the past 48 hours is claiming they'll open July.... we shall see...... would be nice to have somewhere to go after Thailand.

Do you mean you won't have the chance to stop in the country you have a residence to get visas before heading to Thailand? I heard there is a lot of variance between what different countries' Thai embassies are willing to do so I'd check. I my case ideal would have been STV - and everything I read made it sound like it would be impossible to get as a tourist in Korea - so I didn't bother trying. I heard something like a criminal background check in your resident country and so on. And you're supposed to apply in your resident country. I'm not traveling to the US during a pandemic, so no go. TR might have been easier, but the ROI is very low because 45 days + 30 extension for doing almost nothing (visa exempt) VS 60 days + 30 extension for probably doing a lot of paper work and depending on LUCK because I don't know if I can get a TR in Korea once they see I don't have a visa here. So I didn't confirm anything but went on my best estimates with things i read that my best move is just taking the easier route rather than gambling.
