What are the procedures for obtaining a COVID-19 visa extension in Bangkok and what reasons can I provide on the application?

I want to get my first covid-19 extension, already did 45 days exempt + 30 day ext. I'm in Bangkok. (1) Since I may change accommodations ASAP, I'm worried about not having my passport for hotel check-in. What's the most days I may be without? (2) On the covid form, is there a preferred safe chocie to my reason on the BKK form PDF? Checkboxes A "I am not permitted to enter the dest. country ... " B "The embassay / consulate is unable to issue the letter of confirmation and request a temporary stay." C "No return flight or airline available" D "Other". My real reason is that I feel safer not traveling & cases are high at home (more unsafe). (3) If I can get 2 covid extensions, does anyone know in BKK what is the earliest I can go back? do they follow the "when 45 days are left" rule here? Thanks in advance, you guys are amazing!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on obtaining a COVID-19 extension after completing an initial exemption and extension in Bangkok. They are concerned about the duration their passport might be held during the process and question which checkbox to select on the extension form for their reason for not traveling. Additionally, they inquire about the maximum number of extensions available and the rule regarding returning to their home country.

I don't know what you're asking or who will keep your passport. When you get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, you keep your passport; they only put a stamp in the passport telling you to return.

The best choice is the honest choice. Most consulates are NOT issuing letters now ( I KNOW the USA and UK consulates are not). Go to your country's embassy website and see if there's a sentence or paragraph about them not issuing the letters.

I believe you can get it within 45 days

"you keep your passport; they only put a stamp in the passport telling you to return." - key point, thank you. I thought they keep it like other countries when I got a visa.

You will *NOT* be getting a visa, you will be getting an extension of stay :)
