What do I need to know about my 90-day report and applying for a COVID extension in Thailand?

I've been here 87 days, based on 45 days exempt, 30 day extension, and 60 day covid. These were all done in Bangkok, though I'm now in Pattaya. (1) What is the policy here, will I need to do a 90 day report ASAP? (2) Should I apply for another covid extension on July 30th exactly since there is no guarantee this program is renewed? [My understanding is the soonest I can apply is 30 days ahead since I'm not in Bangkok and I expire Aug 29.]

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on whether they need to file a 90-day report and if they should apply for a COVID extension soon, given their current visa status and location changes in Thailand. Community members suggest contacting the local immigration office for accurate guidance, particularly noting that a 90-day report isn't necessary yet as the user hasn't been in the same extension type for 90 days. However, they caution that applying for a COVID extension could mean losing days from the current extension, and recommend inquiring about application timing and procedures directly with immigration.

okay so far you're not here 90 days on the same extension type to have to file a 90 day report.

Now as far as IF you can apply for a covid extension with your current extension expiring on Aug 29 well that's between you and the immigration office you deal with,.

Keep in mind (as people said) IF you go from a tourist extension (the 30 days) to a covid extension because you changed the reason for your extension some offices start it the date you apply <-meaning you lose all the days you have on the current stamp.

ASK your immigration office and while you're there ask when that office starts counting the 90 days.

You can ask Jomtien immigration if they will allow you to apply for the COVID extension on July 29th...

However they like it when you apply for any extension to show up during the week before your ending permission to stay date.

Suggest you ask during the last week in July... Remember that the immigration office is closed two days during that week and they will be packed with folks like you trying to get a COVID extension before the deadline.

You should ask the immigration office

>Should I apply for another covid extension on July 30th

No, the last day the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 can be acquired is July 29. Ask your immigration office if you can get another extension of stay on the 29th.
