Thanks but no point to continue talking with this person. Yes there are solutions if an extension is not possible but another person nicely confirmed that chaeng wattana do proceed these extensions and I much prefer going to the immigration a few hours than flying internationally etc (much longer, need to plan for potential delays etc). It is also cheaper.
