Technically no, it is possible to remain in Thailand whilst changing jobs, but this is requires lots of coordination between both companies to work together. Everyone I know in this situation has gone abroad and applied for a new visa.

The easiest way is to write a letter saying you plan to visit Israel and then one of the countries that don't allow you in if you do.

I mean someone from the UK could fly to Laos and would have an empty passport if it's never been stamped. You are right, they don't stamp any passports on exit, many countries no longer do.
