Will my return ticket after 30 days from arrival cause problems when entering Thailand?

I am arriving in Bangkok on Jan. 25th, and will have the equivalent of 20k Thai Baht and and a return ticket on March 22nd. I will spend the first two weeks in Thailand, then island hop to Malaysia. I will then visit Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. I will fly back to Bangkok from Vietnam and leave after a few days back to the US. Could it problematic that my return ticket is well past the 30 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about entering Thailand with a return ticket dated beyond the 30-day allowance. Comments indicate that while Thai immigration may not ask for a return ticket, airlines could deny boarding without proof of onward travel. It's advised to confirm with the airline directly and ensure compliance with entry regulations, especially if the user does not have a visa.

And as the OP has his answer, I close it down.

As we asked many times, but i will keep on asking:

do not hijack other peoples questions with your own problems.

please if you like to add a reply or comment on this page, make sure the answer is related to the question.

Travel without (without means not having) a visa is a total different

ballgame than to travel with a Non Immigrant O or B VISA or an Extension of Stay.

Thanks for the advice all. I checked with my airline and don't foresee an issue. I don't have a travel history that would present a problem.

It is far more likely that you'll have a problem with your air carrier checking in to fly here without proof of onward travel and with no visa to thailand in your passport.

If you manage to check in you shouldn't have any problem stamping in once you get here

I've never had issues flying in with a one-way ticket on a non-B. They are happy after seeing the stamp when you check in.

I have NON-IMM O-A Visa. Would an airline also expect me to have an outward bound ticket as well? Just curious...

You might not be able to check in, so check with your airline. That's in general a bigger concern than at thai immigration.

The fact remains that at any time entering Thailand at the discretion of the IO you may he asked to see both
*****
cash and your a ticket exiting Thailand.

The risk of this is greater depending on your travel history to the kingdom and the way you present to to the IO

Eg long recent stays in the kingdom with multiple

Extensions or backpackers

They don’t need to see your return ticket. They may ask to see your ticket exiting Thailand. You can buy a boat ticket online for a boat the malaysia (I assume you are island hopping from ko lipe, Thailand to langkawi, malaysia.

You can buy it here
