well that is great in theory but am i supposed to change thousands of dollars in flights because the an embassy is slow or decides to ask for more information? worst case, which would be super lame, is they deny me and i apply from KUL i guess.
i will note after my ED muay thai, i left for over 6 months, got a visa they no longer have (STV or something, some 90d one) - they made a big deal about me coming in that time. they couldn't quiz me on thai but asked for muay thai proof at one point so i teeped the female officer across the desk. actually i showed some videos i had then they said they didn't want to fight me so all was good. still took forever though, i had to eventually sign something about leaving in 90d. although i switched visa types and stayed at that point. i do think ED language is likely to result in them being the most skeptical and testing people.
hmm i am in semi similar, i had an ED visa for muay thai, left a while, came back and had work permit and visa for management at a thai business... dunno thai myself.

. i'm expecting to get in fairly smoothly once approved and not be shaken down for 20k...
i thought about doing muay thai, i have done an education visa for muay thai in the past - but also figured if i tried to pivot at this point it would be an additional application/fee.
it's not as if this is a common request. what purpose is it even supposedly needed for? economic viability should already be established by the bank account
