That looks perfect! She'll be coming in Visa Exempt from the US-- I assume that's the standard clientele?

Yeah, and it's on FinnAir--not sure about their track record, but I've generally had good experience with international flights and timing

Same. I originally booked a 10am flight (4 hour layover) but they cut that flight and essentially we had to choose 2:20 or 6:20.

I'm not familiar with this. That's an interesting idea...

Had the same thing happen to me not too long ago. Might just be local section registration

Yep, I second Real. I've got a decent touring helmet that's safety certified, relatively comfortable, and was only like 2-3k baht. The shape may not work for all so you'll want to try to fit first if you can.

Thanks all! This will be at the office in Central Festival Chiang Mai so probably just easy enough to swing through and ask on a free day anyway... or at least not a big deal to have to go back a 2nd day if they need all present.

I don't see that as a similar issue. English-speaking Thai often get paid more, and to have to service someone who can't speak Thai may necessitate having a bilingual (higher paid staff).

In America, you pay for higher-skilled stylists (though I give you it wouldn't be acceptable to charge a Spanish-speaker more for service in their language).

Again, I'd be curious if they charge Thai-speaking farang the higher price.

Would've been smarter just to write "Haircut"

I'd be curious if they would charge that if you spoke Thai. If it's just a premium to get an English-speaking barber, I'm not sure that's unreasonable

I can use my chase credit card here and get good exchange rates (I pay in baht) w/ no foreign transaction fees. If you have a card geared towards travel, it's not usually a problem.
