These online arrival cards 72 hours hours before landing seem to be the new policy. The Philippines has the same requirement. It isn't too cumbersome but something to be aware

all you wrote is true but I want to reemphasive the absudity of needing a bank account to apply for many one year visas but having the bank require you have the one year visa first. A catch22 that only Thailand can have to drive money to agents and corrupt officials.

sorry to contradict you again but your bank closing and old account and opening a new account at the same time is totally different from going to a new bank you have never done business with and trying to open a new account.

I also opened many years ago without complication; however, Thai banks have many more requirements over the last 2 years. Your experience several years ago is no longer available.

I hate the idea of using agents; however, opening a Thai bank account has become so difficult, you may have to hire an agent.
