I know same at the website to the Thai Embassy in London and Oslo it’s stated that an air, train, bus or boat ticket out within 60 days is sufficient. However the formal requirements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai immigration is “an air ticket paid in full”. Based on feedbacks we know that some are allowed boarding with a bus ticket without any issues, some are allowed boarding after some discussion but some also have been denied as the airline required an air ticket.
No need to use an agent. Just remember if you prefer to use the income method for your second year extension of stay by proving income/pension minimum equal to 65K baht a month, you should start to transfer as soon as the extension is issued so you’ll be able to show proof of twelve months consecutive transfers for your second year. Then the 800K baht is free to use.
Requirements for extension of stay varies a bit between the different immigrations so I suggest you go and get handed over the requirements at your immigration when you come. You’ll need minimum six months left on your passport upon entries and can get all your stamps transferred if you apply later depending on what suits you best. (You can enter with both the new and old passport together and get the stamps transferred at the immigration).
Yes you’ll have 90 days and can apply for one year extension of stay based on your Non O visa.
(Not a one year visa but a one year permission to stay based on your Non O visa.😉)
As your embassy doesn’t offer to provide you an affidavit letter to confirm your income, you’ll need to prove the first year yourself by banking 800K baht in a Thai bank. Has to be seasoned for two months prior to your application, so within the first month you’ll need to open a bank account and transfer the funds.
Yes this is the requirements for to apply for the regular 90 days Non O visa as a e-visa in the e-visa application online through the embassy in London.
You don’t need any insurance to apply for a regular 90 days Non O visa at the thai embassy in London. (Only Non O-A visa). And you don’t need to prove accommodation. If you apply for a regular Non O there’s no mandatory insurance requirement for the one year extension of stay in Thailand. (As I guess you mean with the one year retirement visa).
