thats not accurate. I just did the process myself in Krabi. And I can tell you it was not easy and the DLT did work when I did the online driver training in February that makes you go through all of the videos and questions to answer throughout the videos which takes 4 hours. Price wise .... 500 bht for a resident certificate, 150 bht for the Medical Certificate, photo copies of a few items (passport, home drivers license, international drivers license, completed DLT course) and doubles of those, 100. And the fee at the appointment for the photo etc which is the 205 bht you're referring too. That entire process took me almost a month waiting for my appointment. So I can tell you if you can afford the 4000 bht ($166 Canadian) for roughly 12 hours of fkn around plus the driving around to get everything done it is worth every penny!
that is not 100% true. If you have a certain amount of retirement pension, that can offset the amount required in the account for the visa if you need any at all.
