What is the easiest way for a British citizen in Bangkok to extend a DTV for another 180 days?

I don’t understand why you can’t just buy a return ticket to anywhere say Singapore go to the airport get on the plane, and come back, go through immigration and get stamped for another 180 days.

What am I missing?

If you want the visa they expect the details, it’s part of the deal. If you apply for ‘marriage to a Thai’ they do home visits

They don’t just hand out visas because you want one

Its unlikely you will be open a bank account with a DTV visa at the moment Who knows what will happen in the future but you can open an account with a non O visa
