โ€˜To volunteer in Thailand for an extended period, you'll need a Non-Immigrant "O" (Volunteer) visa, which is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, allowing you to stay in Thailand for up to 90 days. โ€˜.

I really hate misinformation

ok but itโ€™s not random nonsense Everything I have ever read about volunteering in Thailand requires a visa that allows volunteering. And why the need to be rude and dismissive
Anna *********
Well done but volunteering is considered work so perhaps best not to mention it at immigration ๐Ÿ˜€

The covering letter sounds like a good idea. I would also check what, if anything, the German Embassy requires ( in terms of any extra documents) as it could be very different to Australia Hopefully they just need your husbands DTV information Good luck

Australia seem to be very reasonable and don't insist on months of seasoning but do search the threads for actual experiences

It must be in your own name but once that is done the length of time is variable depending on the Embassy and the person looking at the application. With some it really is days and others want 6 months worth of statements but the total doesn't have to be the full 500K and others want 3 months with the full amount and everything in between. Best idea is search looking for the embassy you plan to use and see what people have experienced. Good luck
