It's amazing how little people can comprehend while reading, or it's amazing how people go through life without actually reading what they are supposed to. If this person had actually read any of the DTV guidelines or application process, this would have been 100% clear to them.

My partner did almost the exact thing. Applied in Budapest, entered on the 60 day visa exemption, then flew from BKK to KL and back to 'activate' her DTV. no issues.
