Anonymous participant when I said "explain that you just changed address recently", I meant in a note in your visa application. you can just say you updated the bank address recently. if HCMC is in-person, they are hopefully helpful. Other people have posted here about various consulates/embassies.

Anonymous participant it's not my business, but where are you applying? In most/all western countries, you do not need 6 months bank statement history.

In any case, you can simply explain that you just changed address recently. If the name and account details match, then I see no problem.

I've never done it. but it's very well documented.

Do you really think they can't update their systems to relate an existing visa to a new passport number?

The PDF isn't the visa. The visa is in the database.

When we're all going through the auto gates at BKK (my last exit was through an automatic gate), visa stamps and pdf hard copes become 100% irrelevant.

Most Thai embassies in western countries are already only issuing e-visas.

Before I elaborate about my situation,

Why don't you just change the bank address and request an up-to-date statement?

your method is necessary if you've obtained the new passport while in the home country. It may be fine for the life of the visa, but immigration can definitely transfer it to a new passport...

Are you currently employed, or not?

If not, I'd recommend finding your new job first.

Separately, your previous employment/salary/banking situation sounds a bit sketchy, at best.

In most cases, stating that you're working remotely and getting paid into Wise does not exempt you from tax, so be careful. You are a tax resident somewhere and Wise is most definitely not a way of hiding your income.

qualify?

From what I read, they are currently on holiday, with no current work or 'soft power' activity.

I would not have thought that a cv and the hope that they will find a job soon qualifies...

unless you plan to do a border run every 180 days or less, be very wary of getting the visa from a 'friendly' consulate.

The immigration office that you go to to extend the via might not be quite so friendly.
