thanks a lot! My boss is willing to write a document stating that I am employed remotely, and can work indefintiely from Thailand, my position etc.. I guess that'll do it then.

One last question: I saw someone else post that they were required to show the 500k had been on a bank account for 6 months, but saw others say 3 months. Do you know the answer? Does it differ from one embassy to another? If so, do you know if Vietnam will accept 3 months?

Also, does anyone know what the "employment certificate" is? I have a contract of course, not sure what they mean by certificate.

yes, but since I am registered as living abroad with my government, taxes are not automatically deducted, I have to file myself once a year and pay it (since it is less than usual because I’m not in the country)
