If you return to same address you do not have according to my local immigration office ( wife also advised in thai as home owner)

I never have re filed in the last at least 7 years despite leaving the country etc

I personally would not give it a thought

with this i will close as i thought this was a visa not ,( very likely I am not alone) arrival paperwork...currently TM 6 is not used now is it ?and hotels report clients etc so it's more work for all concerned for as I said no benefit for anyone

Sorry! but in that case this a complete waste of time and just an irritant nothing more I assumed and no I haven't read up on it as I'm not traveling from here till next year, I assumed the QR code was the arrival stamp or shortcut too.. SO ...more jumping through hoops for no discernable benefit for travellers . utter madness

we will see BUT is this palaver going shorten the arrival queue that would be my main concern

With the QR code is there need to manual stamp in, now that would be beneficial

does it not say submit at least 3 days before entry...SO! stands to reason some people will do weeks months in advance just to get it out of the way
