I'm not ecactly arguing with you... just trying to make you understand.
Your reply to the OP was to go for the soft power route and you keep repeating that he don't need proof of income... How does that help the OP?
The OP did NOT make a mistake. Even the 2nd request about lenght of study indicates that.
As I wrote SOME embassies DO ask for income even for soft power applications. There's been several posts of this, especially from Taipei (I will add one as an example).
So you don't like/want my input... then stop arguing back!
well it is possible! Just check the picture that the OP added in his post.
There have been several reports of embassies asking to see income as additional information... Just search this group and see for yourself.
Yes, there is no formal requierment to show anything other than the 500k when you apply via soft power.
BUT the embassy can still ask for this information IF they want to ensure you are able to support yourself. You can keep repeating "you don't need any income for the soft power option" a hundred times IF you want... That doesn't change the fact that they did indeed ask the OP for this!
you don't seem to understand... The OP DID apply with a soft power option... The embassy is asking him to provide "proof of income" as additional document.
Anonym deltagare Well, even IF you would see someone that got approved early, that will not tell you anything! Trust the embassy and their estimated time IS in fact 10-15 working days. So you should count on the minimum of 2 weeks, if you submit a complete application (longer if they request additional information). Plan that it can take longer.
You can apply in most SEA countries. You should choose a country where you want to spend some weeks... if it doesn't matter to you, then Vietnam might be a better choice than Laos considering the processing time. It is estimated to 5 working days in Vietnam (Hanoi or HCMC) and 10-15 working days in Laos (they just moved to the online platform and expect some longer time in the behinning).
Check the web pages for the Thai Embassies/consulates in the neighboring countries for information. You can also read others experience of the different embassies by using the search funtion in this group.
