I've recently applied (online) for a DTV through the Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Does anyone have experience of how long they take to process online applications in KL?

Quick question about the bank account statements and so on, as i want to get this done in the first try:

I am a US citizen applying in Ho Chi Minh and I have been a self employed business consultant for over 5 years.

What specific documents do i need that have been working the best for others in the group? (Ex: EIN, State corporation LLC paperwork, client contracts, etc)

Then in regards to banking:

Is it okay to use 6 my personal statements from different personal accounts or does it need to all be from one bank?

Also could i use the business bank account statements in place of my own?

Much appreciated 🙏

Question regarding bank statements:

As you might know, the current month’s bank statement (with the proper name and address) is usually only available for download at the start of the next month. If you’re applying in the last week of the month and the statement isn’t ready yet, how do you handle this?

Do you just screenshot the transactions from the website or bank app (even if they don’t include the name and address) to show activity for that month? Is it better to print them on the day of your appointment or walk-in, or is it acceptable to print a few days before?

I understand it might vary by consulate, but could you please share what you did for your DTV application and which consulate you applied at?

Thanks!

Hi all, I am wanting to apply for my toddler for a dependant DTV from Australia. However what document would I provide for indicate the current location- she is not on any of our bills 🧐 Also she doesn’t have her own bank account - does she need one?

Also, do I need to have my DTV first before I apply for hers? I am a little confused. Thank you 🙏

“Hi everyone! I have a few questions regarding the e-visa process I’m from Egypt

1. What documents are required for the application?

2. Do I need to provide an HR letter as part of the process?

3. Can I apply together with my fiancé as a couple, or do we need to apply separately?

4. I’ve heard that a document indicating my current location is necessary—what kind of document would that be, and how can I provide it?

Any advice would be appreciated. 😃Thanks!”🙏

Today I went to Chiang Mai Immigration at 9:00 am to submit my application for a Non-0 visa (married to a Thai). After about a 2 hour wait the document checker reviewed my packet of documents and gave me a new queue number. The new queue number came up very quickly and the next officer started reviewing my documents (original and copy of each). The only problem was I had to redraw the map to my house (twice) because I had used a prior revision of the form. Around 12:00 I paid 2000 Baht and got a blue paper stapled in my passport. I was told to return to immigration on 31 Jan 2024, so apparently my trip to immigration was a success. Thanks to the experts in this group for their advice!

UPDATE: Today (Jan 18) Immigration called to say they need copies of my daughter’s birth certificates which I had in the package and they told me to take out. Mai Bpen Rai.

UPDATE (Jan 31) - I got 3 months Non-O at Chiang Mai Immigration in about 40 minutes. They said in I can apply for a 1 year extension in 2 months.
