yup, I’m going to blame the ambiguity in the wording on translation, but that doesn’t explain all these people telling me I’m not reading it correctly

I know, right 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 thank you. And funny how it’s always the older men that tell me I misread or misunderstood when it clearly says “3 days before”. I just don’t get it

yeah when you live in Hong Kong and have family and a house in Bangkok, you end up doing 2 trips a month on average, mostly booked last minute when I find I have a free weekend. It’s a 3hr max flight so yeah, weekend trip to Thailand. Why is that an issue for you?

ok sure, I’ll leave my house in Bangkok empty then

thank you, makes sense. I hope they don’t impose “3 days before” as it will be discouraging to many

@George ******
exactly. Home is Hong Kong but have a house in Bangkok, 3 hr flight time. I do the trip at least once a month, most of the time do last minute bookings.

@Bunny ****
have you actually read what I wrote? What the official translation is at the moment

“When to Submit Your TDAC

Foreigners should submit their arrival card information 3 days in advance of arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival.”

3 days in advance means minimum 3 days before arrival.

thank you, I was looking for this explanation that it’s the wording. Ambiguity happens a lot with translations, the driver knowledge test being a good example

where does it say “within 3 days”? I’m literally showing you “3 days before arrival”. It makes a huge difference
