You do not need a Visa agent.It's a very simple process call the Thai embassy in DC and they will tell you , they're very helpful.

Just go to the Thai embassy in your town or city or the closest one.It's the easiest thing to do

When you leave, you go through customs and they stamp you they. They want to make sure you're not overstaying. If you do, they can fine you.So they'll always give you that stamp.If you overstay you gotta pay.
