But the bank told me you can only top up TagTgai with foreign currency. You can't deposit bhat into it. When I opened mine they also told me after one year the account is closed automatically. So does your balance just evaporate? Things were hectic at the airport when I opened it but I need to learn a little more.
Have been on a DTV visa for about 10 months, US passport. Entered about 12 times at BKK. Most I've ever gotten is "how long are you staying" or "where are you staying." Maybe 30 second delay.
I used medical soft power two weeks ago. No problem. I've been treated at Bumrungrad for knee pain with regular injections. I just provided medical certificate signed and stamped. Just says I have arthritis in knee and treatment injections every 6 months. Scheduled follow ups for a year and submitted those appointments. Just the PDF. Not stamped or signed.
thank you for this. I'm not in Thailand right now and DTAC won't allow me to see the esim and plan options. It knows I'm outside Thailand and only allows me to see tourist options. I'm arriving tomorrow and will start the app soon as I land and purchase.
we managed the DTV process on our own and are good in terms of visa, but the nightmare of running around to 20 banks seems unthinkable. If the bank account is opened in my name and address, how would the agent have control over me in the future.
Have DTV but will want to open bank account once we get there. Is it possible to hire an agent in Chiang Mai to help you open a bank account. Don't need anything else, just a bank account with ATM card, online banking and ability to transfer money from HSBC Hong Kong periodically. What would be typical fee for an agent to do that?
Hmmm. I checked the web site again but no mention of a rental contract. I could make a 90 refundable booking on booking.com. did anybody else get asked for rental contract?
