i shall keep you posted 🙂. I was thinking of taking my UK statement and confirmation from TransferWise as proof. But Tod mentioned above that this applies to applying for a 90 day non o inside Thailand. I already have a multiple entry non o but just changed to the 60 day visit friends and family visa. So I am not sure if it applies still

Edit: ok, Benjamin’s comment put an end to my plan haha. Will ask my wife to call immigration for me and check 😀

I was in the exact same boat as you but I just got the 60 day visit friends and family extension on Monday. Was very easy to do and only took an hour or so at Chaeng Wattana. I am currently waiting for my funds to season to get the year long extension of stay. With Covid, it seems risky to rely on the border bounce.

Ok, thank you. I will check today. It will be for the 1 year extension of stay.

Thanks again Tod

Hi Tod. So I transferred some money using TransferWise and someone in another post mentioned that they have had trouble using this method before. Is this an issue you are familiar with?

Brilliant, thank you so much.

Is there an application form I can print off in advance anywhere?

no it doesn’t, at least it didn’t for me. Took a couple of hours for my wife and I. Turned up at the district office. Did all the jazz, took the obligatory picture and went on our merry way.
