Eddy Roote thank you for sharing this story and my sympathy. At the same time, you were detained for two hours.. That's manageable. Point is you are allowed to leave the country. How long did you overstay?

Also, regarding 'admission of guilt', you can't deny overstaying if they look at your entry stamp 🤨

Why would there be a problem? You stamp out on the old passport and re-enter on the new one. You just show them both documents when leaving.
