Question:

1. When entering Thailand by land or air, can the immigration officer see my residence tm30 history in their systems?

2. It appears that application for Thai E Visa requires proof of onward travel? I saw this on the e visa website. It surprises me, as it suggests one should have already arranged for onward travel 6 months in advance ๐Ÿค”

3. Personally I have never been asked for proof of onward travel, so I'm just wondering what the requirements here are.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question pertains to whether immigration officers in Thailand can view a person's TM30 residence history upon entry and if proof of onward travel is a requirement for Thai E Visa applications. According to community responses, TM30 filings are separate from entry processes, and while evidence of onward travel may be required for eVisa applications, individuals may not always be asked for such proof upon entry.

1 - nope, a TM30 has abso-tively posi-lutely NOTHING to do wiht you stamping in to the country. you file a NEW TM30 <- depending on your immigration office when you enter thailand from abroad

2 - surprising or not if you're applying for an eVisa and the requirement is onward travel you submit it or don't get the visa issued.

3 - that you haven't been asked for onward travel when stamping in to the country does not negate the fact there is a rule that certain entry stamps (visa exempt, tourist visa) can be asked to show onward travel when stamping in.
