I dont care about Netherlands, I said that in Finland and Austria they didn't post such requirement on their website.

DTV_BegPecker Neither the Thai Embassy website in Finland or in Austria states that applicants must remain in the country while waiting for the results. There is no such requirement mentioned anywhere. Moreover, forbidding travel within the EU would be a most ridiculious restriction.

Wise has account number as real bank account , I ask my landlord to make international transfer to it and just I cover transfer fees. He transfer without problems.

I suggest trying to call the embassy in Nairobi or sending them an email, but when I was in Zanzibar, I tried calling many times every day and also sent emails, and no one ever answered. Eventually, I just gave up and applied somewhere else.

 if you not citizen or resident in one of the East African countries they cover, then they will cancel or reject application. So resident has to provide resident permit not just tourist visa or family connection. And embasy in Nairobi never ever respond to email or answer phone 🙂
