You're essentially re-applying, so all the same stuff you had to provide at application. Much easier to just take a little vacation somewhere outside of Thailand.

You cannot apply for DTV in Thailand. Additionally, you must remain in your consulate's jurisdiction until you are approved.

Anonymous participant yes there is. The METV. Simply re-apply every 6 months and you can come and go all you want during its validity.

Personal opinion and experience: submit what they ask for. I don't think they're looking for reasons to deny everyone. They're simply looking for reasons to deny people who *abuse* the system. Consulates differ, but this is the pragmatic viewpoint I'm using on my journey to Thailand (from the US; Chicago). ❤️
