No limit only officially. You can still get pulled over and given problems if it looks like you are staying too long.

so basically if one is to spend less than three months at a go, there is no need to do the report at all. Only the annual ext would be required.

I can only get VOA for 30 days. Subsequent visits in the same year are frowned down upon and put under the microscope.

Since i don't plan to live in Thailand full time, i wont have to do the reporting. I'll be travelling a lot.

That would have been the perfect solution , but we don't have an embassy here and even if i got one the second entry isn't guaranteed.

Thanks for the detailed update. I've always used TVs to stay in Thailand for 3 months/year in the past. But the last few years it has become a headache mostly when arriving in Bkk.

From what i gather, the best option is the retiree visa with a bank deposit, or the Elite visa.
