TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about reasonably priced Indian restaurants in the Sukhumvit/Nana area of Bangkok. Several recommendations arise, including: 1. **Bukhara's Indian** - Noted for its linen napkins and good food, though on the pricier side. 2. **Dosa King** - A vegetarian restaurant lauded for its outstanding food. 3. **Annapurna** - Located near the Burmese embassy, suggested for cheap and good meals. 4. **Food Court at Emporium** - A fallback option for casual dining. 5. **Pubjab Grill** - Excellent service and ambiance but slightly over budget. 6. Suggestions to check **Eatigo** for more options and discounts, and mention of the notable **Om Ganesh** near On Nut station. There are mixed feelings expressed about the quality and pricing of Indian food in Thailand, with some urging to opt for home cooking for the best experience.

I had a 440 Baht Indian meal the other week at a cafeteria style place on Soi 22 - better to pay 1300 per head and get a good meal. Indian is very expensive here.

Indian food is disgustingly overpriced in Thailand, and is the same western-indian restaurant quality that sucks ass. If you're serious about indian food, buy a huge bag of all the common spices and learn to make indian food yourself. The quality will be far superior to anything rushed in a restaurant.

have you been to little india or near the hindu temple. Dosa maybe 60 baht etc etc. I agree in ones the are in tourist areas they are vastly overpriced. Bangkok has quite a large Indian population they mainly dont go where the tourists go

Yes have, the prices were okay and the quality was okay. If you want mind blowing indian food, you need to make it yourself with quality ingredients and slow cooking.

I'm practically a world class indian chef at this point, Michael. My friends and family have told me they've never tasted anything like my food at indian restaurants - it's next level.

Great authentic North Indian food at Amritsr and the prices could fit the bill too. They've got a couple locations in the area you mentioned.

As an Indian I can vouch , the food is stale and recycled stuff. Be careful I had a bad experience and some others as well

29th floor of Holiday Inn, corner of Sukhumvit road and Soi 22. It's a little more upmarket though not particularly expensive. Maybe 1000-1500 Baht per person.

Pubjab grill in soi 13 is excellent, a little over budget but depends on what you order. Spectacular service, food and ambience

You can make reservations as little as 30 minutes before you want to eat, and with good discounts. There are lots of Indian restaurants, and you can also look at different area listings. It's the most used reservation app in Bangkok.

You have to be prepared to wait for a table at some of the more popular Indian restaurants. It is a nice spot for dining outdoors.

Opposite the Landmark hotel.

It's the oldest Indian restaurant in Bangkok.

Great food but not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

Saravana Bhavan....or Dosa King is decent...but I would wait till Sunday and do unlimited brunch at Indus... but that would be likely 2500 for 2 with drinks.
