As luck would have it: Thailand has the highest arrest rate for British tourists of any country in the world (it’s only around 1 a day v 8 per day in Spain, but on a per capita basis it’s the highest)

And you aren’t a tourist if you don’t have a valid permission to be in the country - you’re an illegal immigrant and will be processed through immigration detention. I’ve had to visit enough of them 🫣

You really should check in with your embassy before you spread such unwise advice to the multitude of fools out there. I’m sure they’ll make it clear to you 🙂

A little over 10 years ago this problem was solved with the use of an app
