I checked HCM website and takes full 2 working days? That may not work for me, unfortunately although I would love to go there instead.

Thanks for the replies. I think I am leaning towards getting a visa in Savannakhet. Asked several agents and as Stuart mentioned, all offers were pretty hefty. Will have my ED cancelled before the trip. Thanks!

I am at the airport in Yangon waiting for the flight back to Bangkok after getting a SETV today and I have to say it was a breeze. Didn't even need the onward ticket. Just sharing my experience. 😊
