Taylor Cantril Talking to the Thai officer now. Only Border Pass holders can cross (foreigners cannot apply), no eVisas, no visas.

Chiang Rai is easy but far for you. Can get a 15 day temporary passport at Myanmar side, Myanmar immigration keep your passport. Return same day if you wish or stay Myanmar side. Depends on your eligibility for 30 day visa exempt.

If she leaves on the border she will need a letter of termination of work permit. Return is easy in a 30 day but maybe stay one night Myanmar side.
