I imagine phoning Canada from Thailand with a Canadian phone, which I surmise you mean has a Canadian phone number in it will more than likely be very expensive.

If you have a Thai SIM card in the phone then depending which carrier you are using, can vary on the price as some use a prefix number to reduce the cost!!!

Which I imagine would more than likely be cheaper than what you are trying to do!

I usually use messenger or what's app, or if I do have to phone to a landline or mobile I use the required prefix for cheaper calls

Technically speaking a UK Visitor Visa is commonly referred to as a Tourist Visa.

The official terminology, for those pedantic amongst us that may get their OCD upset for not using the correct terminology, it is actually called a 'Standard Visitor Visa' 😁

if you did a read up, you will more than likely find they do not do driving licences illegally.

You will still have to attend the office to go through the actual procedures. What they will do is, assist you in obtaining the licence, as navigating through the requirements can be a little bit of a nightmare if you do not know the system 🤨

But I do not think the original poster is looking for a Thai driving licence at this moment in time! 😁

You can get a tourist visa to the UK for that length of time. Maybe extremely difficult as you are only recently started the relationship.

The main criteria is proving that she has a reason to go back to Thailand.

Obviously you have to prove it is a substantive/serious relationship, and not a holiday romance.

Could suggest the use of an agent, as they deal with these things all the time and know the ins and outs of what is required.

🤣🤣 even with a long term visa, still impossible, where I am anyway, to get the elusive pink ID card. The requirements change every visit and last time they wanted copies of my parents birth certificates translated to Thai and stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok 🤔🤔

Basically a "go away, I cannot be bothered to do it" situation 🤣🤣
