I can confirm the transit at ICN is very easy, and the lounge is open with food and alcohol, most shops open too - but on the BKK-ICN flight no alcohol.
yeah it’s not going to work I guess, but it’s just so unfair. Some say I could have left before June 9th but who knew, and the Phuket airport/land crossing closed. Anyway I guess I will be back on an Elite visa one day but now close company and take away my 150k baht month spend, they really could have made it easier - I’m a small subset but it’s a shame still.
I'm hoping it works out either with the letter or with the extension to get a new stamp in my passport so I can renew my WP which expires in November (Non Imm B visa valid until March 2021) because they won't renew it on amnesty without a stamp. Not very well coordinated but that's how it seems to be.
Currently leaning against the option (I go back and forth everyday) since I am worried that even in 1 years time the hurdle to entry will include a quarantine so better to just buy when I’m ready to endure that. Still a shame Immigration and work permit people could not have agreed the amnesty extended possibility of renewing work permits. Stuck in Phuket early June, I couldn’t leave because of airport closures and curfews, yet the work permit labor dept don’t care and just can’t renew the wp I’ve had since 2007 - nice job guys. Planning to sell or close company now.
it is always something! I have BBL too, but hope a credit card would work, no problem for limit but since I guess it isn't a "swipe" it might be different. Thanks for the heads up!
I cant find a path - I guess they will lose my tax money and I will lose on closing my business and that must be multiplied by a few people like us, but they don’t care, we should have left country even though borders were closed
