So just to ask, my Non Imm B valid til March 2021, need to leave for personal reasons but have a letter from US embassy, if I get an extension stamp based on that, will it refresh the status “stamp” so I can renew my wp expiring Nov 15th prior to leaving (say I take the extra days to do it since they are relaxing the 30- day rules) normally I’m a 90-day bouncer, too hard for year extension at the moment.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring if they can extend their Non-Imm B visa, which is valid until March 2021, by obtaining an extension stamp based on a letter from the US embassy before leaving the country. The situation is complicated by their work permit expiring on November 15th and their history of 90-day visa renewals. Comments indicate that if their visa extension has expired and they are currently on amnesty, they may have limited options for extending their stay, and immigration might require them to leave the country.

Your 90 day entry stamp on your Non-B expired LONG ago and you're on amnesty. As you can't get a yearly extension your option is to leave on or before the 26th of Sept OR get a letter from your embassy and apply for a 30 day embassy request extension OR get a letter from a hospital/doctor and apply for a medical extension.

You just plain and simple don't have many options AT ALL.

When does your extension expire from the last 90 day jump? I can only assume it has already expired, and you are on amnesty. If that is the case, then your WP technically has also expired the same day your visa extension expired, unless you just recently came back, went through quarantine, and are in fact working. If the extension has expired, then basically you have to start over, and immigration might not let you do it without leaving the country. They are fickled that way. Some officers make exceptions, most don't. Technically all the amnesty is is so you do not have to pay any overstay fines, or get banned for overstay. It technically does not extend your visa extension.

Christopher Holy... I was on a one year Multi-Entry Non Imm B in July. My 90 day stay had expired but my B Visa still good until January 4, 2021. My WP was still good until September 4, 2020. I was allowed to apply for (and received) a One Year Extension of Stay based on my B Visa. There were No questions at all about the validity of my WP during this process. I believe my WP was connect B Visa - not to the 90 day Stay. My WP has since been extended by two more years.

it seems possible to me that you can do similarly.

yeah it’s not going to work I guess, but it’s just so unfair. Some say I could have left before June 9th but who knew, and the Phuket airport/land crossing closed. Anyway I guess I will be back on an Elite visa one day but now close company and take away my 150k baht month spend, they really could have made it easier - I’m a small subset but it’s a shame still.

, I do know people that have recently gotten Elite visas in Thailand, without having to leave, while on amnesty.
