Is the 45 days before expiry of the 12 month Non-O visa, or before the latest entry stamp?
My annual renewal expires 15 July 2025, but I am currently in UK. So, if I were to re-enter Thailand on 1 July, I’d get stamped in for 15 days (until end of current visa), right?
In this case, since current visa and entry stamp would have fewer than 45 days remaining, I could apply for a 12 month extension immediately - then return 21 days following successful submission of extension application.
I’d appreciate confirmation of my understanding above, as it will determine upcoming plans.
I don’t think this is possible. If you enter under a visa exempt entry (I assume you mean this rather than tourist visa) then your Non-O would be cancelled. That’s my understanding, but perhaps others can comment.
thank you for your advice - that lines up with my own understanding 👍🏻
I previously applied in Bangkok, but this time around will be applying in Phuket due to change of residence. I assume this won’t be an issue?
Also, I know it normally takes around 3 weeks for the extension to be processed - is there anyway that this can be expedited, as I will be out of Thailand again from 17 June for about 8 weeks.
