Ya - it's early days, the offices are all still figuring it out, getting updated docs etc. Plus as we all know, each province and office often has their own process and requirements (and some places have bigger issues with overstays, which is probably why some what extra docs etc).

That said, I imagine in a few months things will settle down and get more streamlined.

I did in Canada last fall - Sole Proprietor. I included that info in my letter (on letterhead) when applying. Was not an issue.

I read that as if you own your own apartment etc here. Not if you are renting etc. But could create some confusion at first as it is written.

Yes. No issues. They did want a copy of the Visa PDF printed out and included with paperwork

I’d write it exactly as it’s written on your id page of your passport.

Call your credit card company to ensure they are not blocking the transaction.

Also make sure it’s a real CC, not a visa debit etc, they don’t always work.
