no reason not to have a Thai gf. Just be clear that you are not a Thai, and you prefer to follow your own traditions. "Every" Thai woman wants a foreign bf or hubby. The market is unlimited. The gain for them is great even if you don't pay them a salary. Thai, both men and women, are extremely concerned to show off. In addition, family members put a lot of pressure on girls with foreign men to get help paying for everything from hospital bills, housing, cars, insurances, cellphones, clothes and religious feast like funerals, manoorah, Songkran etc. Some have no restraints and ask for astronomical amounts. If you start leaking money, it is difficult to stop without the relationship breaking up. Go for the more timid looking women. Women with bossy behavior, stunning appearance and expensive clothes easily catches your eye, but they'll easily fry you once you're in their pan. Loads of the women you meet in the city and on dating web are freelance hookers, and experts in trapping men. As loads of men that raves around in Thai bars and on the internet are losers in the battle for the ladies in their home country and an easy catch for stunning bargirls. They will accept whatever T&C these ladies throw at them. Use your two heads and keep the hart out of it.

I recognize the Thai woman attitude, but strongly disagree that you find this everywhere around the world. A Latina, African or European woman would never act this way. Sure they wish to have a share of your money, but nobody would ask for money or dig into your economy during the first 10 messages on a chat. Some Thai (and a few Filipina) women are extremely focused on money. If you clearly state you will not give her anything she is gone the next minute.

Not only in the bar. Can happen in the office, on the airport, in restaurants, on the train, in the shopping mall, in the reception area of the hotel, in the gym and wherever. In particular if you are formally dressed for work or meetings. And ladies used to talk with foreigners are much more welcoming because they have better language skills. The bf sitting at home suddenly have no importance anymore.

We have all walked into a bar and got into talk with a friendly lady who is open to everything despite she has got a bf in Europe or North America. If a Thai lady smells money or benefits she is as single as it take to get it.

In one way or another you spend loads of money on her.
