What kind of a patronising reply is this? If you don’t wanna add to the knowledge pool, just say nothing.

Sorry bro. No one with any sympathy for an African passport. I travelled for a while on a Zim passport before I ditched it for a UK pp. suddenly doors opened. It’s a tough game out there. Learn their rules and find a way thru.

@Dca ****
indeed. What is it with the embassy in Wellington??

Your final sentence puzzles me. Why would we fill in an online application at the Thai Embassy and why is that an easier option?

I think the AP is saying it already has the DTV visa in its hand. The first name and surname appear to reversed on the visa; it is suggesting not of its making. And yes the proper thing would be to return to the issuing embassy with its questions.

Why does everything need to done anonymously I wonder …

I have just been reviewing all threads on soft power. I see you didn’t want to divulge the name of your school. Do you know where I can find a list of accredited/registered schools that meet criteria for the DTV. You mention that they requested more documents from you. Can you shine some light on this to help out our application. Much appreciated.

good point George. Why are people telling you that study of language is not one of the soft power categories when you have the visa. Could you share the of language school you used please.

I agree with you. They are asking for proof of residency yet other people are suggesting they just popped into a SE Asian capital for easier visa processing.

There is also the visa fee to consider. In Aus it is AUD600 and yet in NZ it is an eye-watering NZD2000. Mistakes on the application will be costly.
