Thailand Pass is not stopped. The test and go option is stopped, sandbox and AQ are still available to apply for.

Special Tourist Visa, STV, is 90, with two 90 days extensions. The confusion is people also refer to the the Single Entry Tourist Visa, STR or SETR, as an STV. As shown in prior comments.

You can apply for the STV and it does take more time because there are a lot more documents required. Check with your Embassy to see what you need.

You can apply for each 90 day extension in country and do not have to leave until the last extension ends. You are not able to change this visa to any other visa type while here.

There were several other sandboxes announced yesterday for Samui, Krabi, etc.

it seemed like they wanted the Canadian Consulate to have stamped it. Edit we had asked at the consulate but they just viewed the original and asked for it to be written in the affidavit.

Minor panic when they asked why the marriage certificate wasn't stamped, we advised that it was covered in the stamped affidavit letter.

when we applied we were told there was no trailing spouse, from the Vancouver consulate. I've checked both our E-Visa papers and it just says Non Immigrant O, no mention of retirement on either.

We went to immigration last week, it was so lined up we couldn't even get to the volunteers, so didn't get a chance to speak to anyone. There were retirement visa requirements infographics by the forms so we have photos of those.

Monday morning we go to the CAD consulate so will bring our marriage certificate and see if we can get it certified.

We also got an appointment (can do online now) for Monday afternoon, so we will see an officer then. We'd like to have as much of the paperwork completed and weren't sure what I'd need. Don't want to annoy the immigration officer.

both stamps state visa non O. The E-Visa site didn't have an option for "trailing spouse" so we both got a single entry Non O based on retirement

Thanks

🙏. We have gotten a bit overwhelmed by it all. Really appreciate your expertise!

After digesting all of the great info we have received from here, we tried to get the ball rolling on our Visas today.

The Thai Consulate in Vancouver says we can both apply for the Non-Immigrant O visa via the new thaievisa.go.th website and give "retirement" as the reason. They said there is no "trailing spouse" Non-immigrant O visa.

Does the "trailing spouse" Non Immigrant visa exist outside of Thailand? Or are we maybe using incorrect terminology with "trailing spouse"? We were under the impression that we can only get the "trailing spouse" Non-immigrant O outside of Thailand. Or did we misinterpret and we should both enter on Non-immigrant O "retirement" visas and only specify "trailing spouse" when we go for our extensions in Thailand?

Thanks!

Thanks everyone, appreciate the information. Some more research needs to be done before we settle on the best option for us.
