For now, 30 March is the last day you can get the COVID 60-day extension.

The government will soon make another announcement: continue the COVID 60-day extension or not.

Simply follow this site every day to get this info. I, too, am clueless.

Many people are hoping that the COVID 60-day extension due date will be pushed to 30 May, as the state of emergency continues until 31 May.

Judging from previous months dating back to March 2020, we are pretty sure the government will find a way for farang currently in Thailand to stay.

Many farang are waiting ... with bated breath ... for the Cabinet to make another announcement regarding the next COVID 60-day extension deadline.

You caught them in mid-sentence, and they were embarrassed.

It sounded like they went after you physically.

They "took"?

You should have handed over 100 Baht bills one at a time, gingerly.

It's simply an unclosed "8", far from a "6".

Citibank in the US allows me to use my banking card to withdraw local currency at any of its logo ATMs anywhere in the world without any charges. The only thing I need to keep in mind is the exchange rate at the time of withdrawal.

I would expect that other big international banks such as HSBC or its European equivalents provide similarly competitive services themselves or via an alliance bank in Thailand.

I am Asian. And I have heard a few Thais who don't know me well refer to me as "farang" while talking to other Thais. (They may have forgotten my name.)

I think what will be said depends on who is being addressed.

I have almost always heard "khun yipoon" when a Thai wanted to know where I was from, followed by other guesses after I shook my head.

And Thais are being nothing but "frank" when they refer to the foreigner as "farang".
