Thais have become accustomed, so much so some bins at restraunts say 15% gratuity has been added for your convenience.

doesn't leave much option.

Get Bank Acct, and send ( from abroad ) 65k . You can use this money on your 3 month trips. You may have to nest Baht 1st year. ( I didnt ) but depending on IO in your province.

Many try to complcate things, IO are ' really ' trying to help, just be honest.
