From my understanding Thai embassies (in some counties) followed local laws. So if gay marriage was law of the land in that country, they would accept paperwork. Immigration would then follow the law of the land in Thailand.

- Many things in regard to visas don’t make sense. It is what it is though. Either you meet the requirement or not. You can start saving

Some Thai embassies have been allowing non O visas for gay couples for a long time. Issues have been with extensions in Thailand. This was before the recent change in laws
