Non-Immigrant O is literally a different type of visa that can be offered for retirees, volunteers, dependents of others with an O (hence why I asked about her husband’s visa), and family members of Thai nationals (usually foreign spouse of Thai national).
The Maldives does not have a Thai consulate. Maldives citizens apply via the consulate in Sri Lanka. According to that consulate's webpage, it sounds like only residents/citizens of Sri Lanka/Maldives can apply via that consulate.
- I get that, but that statement would apply to most things related to the DTV. However, people often only bring up that he is MoFAs when it comes to documents needing to be reviewed again. If he is saying that they need to be verified again, I doubt immigration is going to take a more liberal stance and say they don’t need to review. Immigration usually takes a more restrictive stance.
