TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a DTV Visa from a country other than their own, specifically while being in Thailand. Responses indicated that it is possible to apply for the DTV Visa from neighboring countries like Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam. However, applicants must remain in the country they are applying from until the visa is issued, with processing times typically ranging from 5 to 10 business days for most nationalities.

If u are in Thailand Right now. You must left Thailand and go to some near Neighbors country. Just go to stay outside Thailand and apply the visa by evisa.

If you don’t know how to do. You can pm me more details.

What is your nationality? For most nationalities, the process ranges from 5-10 business days in counties around Thailand.

- Depending on the embassy, 5-10 days

there was a YT video recently after changing to fully digital application that advised it will now typically take 14 days

- It depends on the embassy. Vietnam seems to complete 5-10 days, Cambodia 10 days, etc.

Yes you can but you have to be in the country that you apply from. In theory you should stay there until you receive it.

they're breaking the rules if that's the case, and your visa would be issued unsure fraudulent conditions.

I’ve not heard that they can do from in Thailand but they might be able to. My guess it would be super expensive though.

Do I need to go to a country where my country's embassy is located?

your country's embassy has nothing to do with a visa to enter Thailand

so if i will go to Malaysia, and wait over there, do I need to buy a ticket to Thailand to apply the visa?

If yes how long do i need to stay there?

Avoid Malaysia, they ask a lot of extra documents.

Before Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Taiwan, etc. went online, you could visit those place and get the visa almost on the same day, but now, wherever you go, it's usually 10-15 business day, which you're supposed to spend in that country. Said so, I'll visit the one is cheaper and closer, but also it depends on which would ask me a tourist visa to enter and which won't.

wouldn't recommend Malaysia, they are reported to be slow and want all sorts of additional documents. Hanoi is reported to be one of the quickest embassies for DTV's right now. If they don't ask for anything additional, they are 5 business days but you have to provide the entry stamp and paid hotel booking. Cambodia is 10-15.

how about the bank statement they require 3 months or I just need to provide the current account?

as pointed out it's embassy dependent. If you haven't already join Destination Thailand Visa (DTV). Search in that group, there are loads of posts that will answer your questions. Once you decide which embassy to go to, the rest is fairly simple.

every question you are asking depends on the Thai embassy you use. There are no formal rules written down. Right now the shortest, and cheapest place to apply, and wait, is Yangon in Myanmar, at about three days from last reported. It is real cheap to wait there, and it is not dangerous at all.

look at the embassy website and see how long they say it takes to process visa applications

as long as the visa application takes
