.. now that might work .. a night in Malaysia , back to Thailand , 30 days + 30 day extension .. that might be enough time

Ok.. but if you go on a visa run minibus .. you don’t have to physically exit Thailand... is it only the visa run operators that can do this ?

I too got my Ed visa in Hanoi , 2 years ago , I was the only customer there .. took paper in on morning of day 1 , collected in day 3

THEY ASKED TO SEE MY THAI BANK BOOK - I wasn’t expecting that , luckilyi had it with me .. so please take yours with you

But I would take 20k in baht .. they might ask for that at immigration when you try to get back into thailand

I can’t help with your photo problem.. but I would advise you not to go to the thai embassy at 08:00 and join the huge queue and stand for 2 hours .. I went a couple of weeks ago ( also on a Monday ) at 11:00 .. on a handful of people queuing I was number 517

And when collecting passport the next day . I didn’t go at 1:30like everyone else and queue and wait and not. A sit .. I went at 3:15 .. and my number had been called a few minutes before , so I joined a short queue - easier

And if you go to Embassy at 11:00. - you have time to find Kodak shop open Monday morning

I was 513 on Monday last week ... I didn’t bother going until 3:15 and they were up to 540... get there 15:00 my recommendation
