My Passport ( United Kingdom) is full no more spare pages .. can I do a Trip to Laos for a 60 day Tourist VISA with an Ermergency Travel Documents ?
Or can I fly somewhere overnight and get a 30 day on arrival with an Emergency Travel Document and then a 30 extension at immigration ?
Before any one comments about me not applying for a new passport sooner - I did back in May , there is a complication and I have to reapply now and I only have 20 days left in current visa .. a new passport application is being made as soon as they give me an appointment at Trendy House but in my case it will take a few months to process
So please only comments helping me with advice on these Emergency Travel Documents that we can get
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster, a UK citizen, seeks advice on traveling with an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) due to their full passport. They want to know if they can obtain a Tourist Visa by traveling to Laos or another nearby country briefly. Advice from the community suggests that ETDs are primarily for returning home, and that travel to other countries may require careful planning to ensure there is enough space for entry stamps. Options like Malaysia or Singapore are recommended for brief trips, as these may only require simple entry stamps rather than full visa pages.
